is in the hospital after being attacked by what appears to be a rabid beaver. this happened on tuesday at lake barcroft in the bailey crossroads area. a friend noticed the beaver that didn't seem right and made a beeline for the woman, lillian paterson, swimming about 200 yards away. now peterson tried to beat off the beaver with her metal walking stick. the friend rescued her by hitting the beaver with a canoe paddle. the animal was euthanized to be tested for rabies. >>> a maryland congressman can adhere row to his resume' after saving a 2-year-old boy's life. andy harris says he was driving on route 50 last month when he spotted three cars on the side of the road. he pulled over and said he saw a toddler who was not breathing on the pavement there. anesthesiologist by trade, harris was able to resuscitate that little boy. the boy's grandfather is grateful for harris' courageous act. he posted on the congressman's facebook page saying in part, quote, thank you andy from the bottom of our hearts for stopping in a storm and helping our family." a little good news for you, wonderful. >> yup. th
